He was in working condition at the end of III, and he has his own little ball of some sort that he chillaxes in. Who is in the bacta tank, between Episodes III and IV? It's not Darth Vader. The tank is flanked by an Imperial Guard on either side. Did anyone see the "Rogue One" trailer, yet? If not, there is a scene where a hooded figure is standing in front of a bacta (healing) tank, presuming to kneel down. I'm not saying Plagueis being alive should be believable to all of you, but a thrown-in character doesn't make sense, especially in a scenario such as Episode VII's.ĥ.) This speculation is what gives the other speculations some ground on the grounds of speculation. If Snoke is his own person and not someone from the lore, I will be disappointed in Abrams and his inability to to make a believable story. In fact, going off of what we know from the movies and shows, I don't know of anyone else it could be.

But it is quite the easter egg if Abrams goes the route I want him to.Ĥ.) Who could possibly have picked up the remnants of the Empire? If Snoke is his own person, I find it unlikely that he, obviously a mystical person of some sort, just waltzed on in and said, "Yo Imma make this joint great again who's with me?" and everyone responds, "Hells yeah!" He had to have been someone in close contact with the Empire, someone who was involved with the inner workings of the Empire. I do not think such a wise, powerful, and mystical person such as Plagueis could possibly die so pathetically.Ģ.) Supreme Leader Snoke looks awfully like a Muun (an old Muun), the same species as Darth Plagueis.ģ.) Kylo Ren refers to Snoke as "wise." Darth Plagueis' nickname was "the Wise." Coincidence? Probably, in all honesty. Even the incapacitated Count Dooku was able to sense something was amiss when Asajj Ventress came for his life. If he was in such sync with the Force, he would have seen Palpatine's betrayal a mile away. It is difficult to think that he was killed in his sleep.

His connection with the Force is something we have never seen in the movies or shows ("The Clone Wars" and "Rebels"). He is the reason Anakin Skywalker was conceived without a father. But was Darth Plagueis truly killed?ġ.) Darth Plagueis was on his way to discovering eternal life, and he was nearly there when his student supposedly killed him.

Because this story was brought up in the movie, we can, for certain, say that Darth Plagueis is canon. In the Star Wars lore, it is said that Palpatine killed his master in his sleep, and Palpatine himself alludes to this in Episode III during his discussion with Anakin Skywalker ("The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise"). While this is mostly just thought out speculation, I find it interesting that certain things have lined up the way they have.ĭarth Plagueis was Darth Sidious' (Emperor Palpatine) former master. Hello, there! I am your lovable host, Martian, and we are back (for the first time) at Star Wars Corner! Today's topic: Is Supreme Leader Snoke, seen in Episode VII of Star Wars, Darth Plagueis? For those of you who have seen this theory on the web, I must say that I and my friends have been thinking about this since 'before is was cool.' I am most disappointed that he is not Jar Jar Binks (Physically), I do see a chance of Snoke being Palpatine's master. He could save others from Death, but he couldn't save himself."
